Since this outdated and impracticle doctor has stood down from scripting and managing the opiate substitution programme in the hawkes bay ,the service has improved ten fold. After his 25 long years in that sole position he always maintained the old methods that hindered the progress of addicts where most parts of the country had moved forward and dismissed the methods this doctor used. Myself being a long term methadone client who has spent most of the time receiving treatment in the main centres including Auckland, I have seen the positive change of scripting doctors over the years but transferring to this doctor was a step backward. He is the only one that has mirrors in the toilet so he can invade our privacy when we produce urine tests.that is one example of how loan thinks and works. The doctor that replaced this pervert is open minded and makes sensible and fair decisions that are current and up to date which in turn results in the client their families and the community in whole, being far better off than when loan was "running it".
